Location, you may well ask? That's pretty general, isn't it? Sure, but location has a lot of different things. At most general level, many urban condos come in the heart of cities. However if you break it down further - say within biking or walking distance - urban condos are near bars and restaurants, sporting events, theaters as well as other arts, public transit. Unlike some of my suburban friends, I don't have to get behind the wheel to experience almost any cultural or sporting event I want.
While my job entails plenty of driving into and out of the city, there are numerous people who decide to live without cars. They can do so because their condo if near to the place they work. Individuals who work at home could have to walk along the hallway to get to their desks; anyone who has condos near their office enjoy the next best thing. Oftentimes, they could walk to the office and avoid the hassles associated with driving and parking. When they want to return home and have lunch, they've got the option. Concurrently, if they desire to go for happy hour or dinner after work, there probably are multiple options within a few minutes of their office or their condo.
Another aspect of condo locations I enjoy is that people often arrive at where I will be. Given my condo is indeed close to the activities people love, they drive to the city and handle parking. I recently meet them on the restaurant or stadium. When it's time to head home, I've got a few-minute walk in front of me, while my buddies have to get within their cars and drive for at least a few minutes.
Finally, shopping. While I am not just a big shopper myself, your options within walking distance are nearly endless. You can find department stores and retailers carrying brands of clothing and home ware that everyone would recognize, to small, independent shops where you can get items you can't get anywhere else. If I have to have a last-minute gift for somebody, or have been taking into consideration the perfect gift for months, I most likely simply have to take a walk to go obtain it.
As I said earlier within the article, people have reasons for residing in condos. Despite the fact that location tops their email list for me, I really could go on and on about why I really like it. But that's a topic for another day.
